STEARATE PLASTICIZERS
Stearate plasticizers which are consistent in quality are necessary for producing execellent products. We at Nayakem work on improving the quality consistently. It has been a fruitful journey since we started and the credit goes to our constant clients.
Here are some details of what goes into stearate plasticizers we produce:
Stearate esters are oily liquids or waxy solids. These esters are prepared by reacting stearic acid with the appropriate alcohol. Moreover, they act primarily as lubricants on the skin’s surface, which gives it a soft and smooth appearance. They have the unique properties of low viscosity and an oily nature, which results in a nongreasy, hydrophobic film when applied to the skin or lips. In cosmetics and personal care products. Stearate esters are used most frequently in the formulation of eye makeup, skin makeup, lipstick and skin care products. We manufacture and export stearate plasticizers comprising of: butyl stearate and octyl stearate
Butyl Stearate (BST)
Butyl Stearate is a colorless, oily liquid with several industrial, technical, and cosmetic applications. It is often used in the production of cable lacquers, laminated fiber products, nail varnishes, chlorinated rubber, and PVC copolymers. This version of stearate plasticizers is also used as an emollient in various pharmaceutical or cosmetic products.Like forexample, creams, lotions, and lipstick.

Octyl Stearate (OST)
Octyl Stearate is an essentially odorless and colorless emollient. It a low odour product with resistance to extraction by water, oils and solvents. It is the least effective co-stabilizer on the product range due to its lower oxirane value. However, it is good at reducing viscosity in plastisols and remains liquid down to -20°C.
- When incorporated in topical cosmetic and toiletry formulations, contributes the perceivable benefits of very dry application and smooth after-feel along with very good spreading properties.
- When incorporated into skin care formulations, It is exceptionally effective at reducing the perceived oiliness and greasiness resulting from the presence of heavy and occlusive oils and lipids.
- It can be blended with heavier natural oils to approximate the feel of mineral oil and can thereby possibly function as a mineral oil replacement in some formulations.
- It may be utilized as a coupling agent to aid in the solubilization of fragrance compounds.
- Octyl Stearate is widely used in metal working industry as lubricants.
