Plasticizers/plasticisers are oil-based additives. They are primarily used to alter physical properties of a material. Therefore, these are used to soften a material by increasing its flexibility or decreasing its viscosity. Plasticizers are either liquids with low volatility like Benzoates, Maleates, and Phthalates, or solids. Each are chosen based on their polymer compatibility. Moreover, the desired properties of the end products also matters. Choosing the right plasticizer with polymer is necessary because it protects from leaching out of the products. Thus, safeguarding from losing the benefits of plasticization. The most common applications include Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC) based products. PVC is used largely for construction, automotive, wire & cable sectors. Plasticizers are also used in non-PVC based products. For example: coatings, rubber products, adhesives and sealants.

DiOctyl Adipate (DOA) and DiButyl Adipate (DBA) are used in coating, washing and cleaning applications, lubricants, greases and so many such products.

Benzoates or The NK-Series are phthalate-less plasticizers that are used as replacements for Phthalates. They are used mostly in flooring, adhesives etc.

TriOctyl Citrate (TOC) and TriButyle Citrate (TBC) are used in paints, coatings and inks but also in food packaging, cling wrap, toys, medical applications and more.

DiOctyl Maleate (DOM), DiButyl Maleate (DBM) and Mono IsoOctyl Maleate (MIOM) are used to provide elasticity in resins. They are used in adhesives, paints etc.

Benzyl Butyl Phthalate, DiOctyl Phthalate, DiButyl Phthalate, DiButoxy Glycol Phthalate etc. are primarily used to make polyvinyl chloride, or vinyl, flexible.
